Objective

To obtain a position as an animator within the entertainment industry. To use my training and experience to enrich digital creations with life and distinctive personality. To grow as an artist while giving back to the community that has given so much to me.

Qualifications

  • Solid knowledge of 3D Studio Max, Autodesk Maya, and Adobe Photoshop
  • Worked on both development and customer support side of MMO publishing affords me unique perspective of how art can affect the customers.

Work History

6/07 – Now     NCSoft
                        Role: Artist on "Dungeon Runners"

Assisted Lead Artist in asset implementation from Studio Max into game allowing him to focus more on management of the project rather then bug fixing. Tasked with completing fixes on external contractor work ranging from Rig and Skin modification, Reviewed and provided feedback on contractor animation and biped rigging to ensure quality and style as it fits into the existing creatures. Created art assets (models, textures, and animations) for design staff allowing for more robust quests. Painted color variations of existing creature templates for new types of creatures. Concepted and took to completion (including rigging and animating) Snowman summon.

1/04 – Now     NCSoft
                        Role: Senior Support Representative

Created and utilized processes to detect and remove third-party software users while utilizing dramatically less manpower and resources. Corresponded with outsourced support team in daily activities to ensure continued smooth operations. Responded to “problem” customers as well as legal requests as they related to accounts for various titles.

10/03 – 6/04  Ano1Games
                        Role: Animator on “Larry & Fingers” (Unpublished title)

Responsible for all in-game animation assets for main character as well as various props and secondary characters. Created and rigged secondary character and objects. Assisted Lead Designer in creation of art pipeline and priority task lists as they related to animation. Help to discover work-around solutions to Gamebryo middleware game engine limitations.

8/02 – 10/02    Activision (Employed as Temp through Volt Staffing)
1/03 – 9/03      Role: Quality Assurance Tester

Tested software on multiple systems/platforms for functionality and language glitches and bugs. Reporting both new issues as well as verifying that bugs had been resolved by development staff. Learned to identify critical issues that could greatly affect any potential players so that development staff would have the option to resolve them or not.
